Herbaceous, Pink, Double, Late-Midseason, Fragrant, Historic, 75cm, 30”
Like many of the older varieties, Walter Faxon was cultivated primarily as a cut flower and is still treasured as such today. It produces double blooms of a striking shell-pink, that’s described as vivid, luminous and intense. While its flowers may fade and suffer a bit in late-season heat, this peony will perform well once mature. It will also benefit from dis-budding and will most likely enjoy being protected from really baking-hot late afternoon sun. Mild fragrance. (Richardson 1904)
