The Award of Landscape Merit is a relatively new award instituted by the American Peony Society. Peonies chosen for this honour display superior excellence in ornamental value and overall appearance in the landscape. They are also expected to have reliable performance from year to year across North America, and very importantly to many of us, they are expected to stand self-supported.
